I saw them live with Andy Davis, they were AMAZING! Needtobreathe is an addictive band. I have them set as my alarm...it's a wonderful way to wake up in the morning! Waking up singing "Yahweh, Yahweh!" just makes the day that much better. Don't trust me? Try it. Much better than an annoying beep/shrill. :) The concert was in a music hall in MA. The opening act (Andy Davis) didn't start playing until 10:30...so needless to say it was a late night, but it was so worth it! They guys were very personable and spread the Word in such an every day way. It was an interesting mesh of two worlds. The band was singing about God's glory, and the just a tad bit more than slighty inebriated people were singing along! It was just an amazing way to be reminded that we don't always have to be shoving the Gospel down people's throats. We just have to be ourselves. I remember at camp one year, the speaker said something along the lines of "when you set yourself on fire for God, people will come to watch you burn." Needtobreathe is definitely on fire, and people are definitely watching. :) |
